On the 8th June we held our 4th ‘Women in Business’ Networking Event in aid of the Prince’s Trust initiative, ‘Women Supporting Women’. We had such a fantastic day and we hope everyone else did too! We hosted our event at the Littlebury Hotel in Bicester, and The Cake Shop provided some fantastic ‘Empowering Entrepreneur’ branded cupcakes.
Once all of our lovely ladies had arrived, everyone settled onto their tables with a pastry or fruit salad and a drink. Then the event begun. Our CEO at the Empowering Entrepreneur, Michelle Niziol, welcomed everyone to the event and spoke a little about her ambassadorship with the Prince’s Trust and why we’ve chosen to help this fantastic cause. Then we got stuck into some fantastic masterclasses.
Starting off with a bang, Sally Dear from Ducky Zebra, spoke about how she has created her sustainable brand and what she learnt along the way. It was so interesting to see how Sally has overcome hurdles in her business and how we can implement these lessons into our own businesses.
Next, Aina Gomez from Family Memento Photography spoke to us about the importance of good photography when it comes to marketing yourself and your business. Photos are usually what people use to form their first impression of you, so Aina spoke about how it’s possible to come across in the way you’d like to.
We also had a special guest at the event from the Prince’s Trust. Francesca is currently receiving help from the Prince’s Trust in starting her own digital marketing agency, Cherry on Top Agency. Francesca then said a few words about herself and her journey with the Prince’s Trust. It was so fantastic to be able to see how the Prince’s Trust are helping women achieve their dreams, and what the proceeds of our events are going to.
Next we moved onto the networking part of our event! Many amazing connections were made and friendships built. Plus, we of course got lots of photos of everyone in front of our iconic flower wall.
