On a lovely sunny day in early June we joined a group of some of Oxfordshire’s most fantastic businesswomen at Soho Farmhouse for a flower arranging masterclass. The class was taught by the one and only Simon Lycett, and hosted by Ridge and Partners LLP and Hedges Law. Nicola Poole is the Director of Culture & Innovation at Hedges Law, and a Prince’s Trust Ambassador so at this event £1200 were raised for the fantastic #womensupportingwomen intiative.
Simon is known for his role as a judge on the vibrant competition series ‘Full Bloom’. As well as this, Simon frequently does work for the royals and many other prominent celebrities. Whilst demonstrating how to arrange the flowers Simon chatted to us and answered questions about his career in floristry. We all created some beautifully summery flower arrangements and enjoyed our gorgeous surroundings at the Soho Farmhouse
Women Supporting Women was created at The Prince’s Trust in 2018 to help young women who face disadvantage and adversity to transform their lives. The collective is committed to raising funds so that more young women can build their confidence and skills and be supported into jobs, self-employment, education or training.
The event was such a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and it was so lovely to be with so many inspirational women. Plus, we all left with a gorgeous flower arrangement. Thank you so much to Hedges Law Ridge and Partners LLP for hosting such a wonderful event, it was an honour to be there.
